I am using Lab View 10. My video will freeze up every so often. Somtimes labview will abort by itself? I can run other applications while lab view is frozen. Is it a lab view programming problem or a possible video card problem. The main VI is 1.7 MB. I am running Windows Xp 32 bit. CPU 2.4 Gig, Memory 4 gig, Video Nvidea GeForce 8400 GS. It appears to be a video refresh problem. I can have a screen with two different application screens on top of each other. Can someone confirm that the video card is the issure?
Any suggestions would be helpfull.

Hello,
Could you more clearly describe the 'Video Freezing,' are you playing back video inside a VI? Are you referring to your entire display? How are other programs 'running' do their UI's refresh? Is LabVIEW crashing? Was this code upgraded form a previous version of LabVIEW or developed in 2010?
Thank you for your time.

I am not running any Video. At this point I am going to make several VIS. I started with 8.2 Lab view. I am now runnig the latest 2010. I started have problems with the screen refresh with 2009. I also tried (2) different PCS. Regarding sub VIS, I was thinking of going back to 8.6.

I'm having trouble understanding the exact behavior of 'Video' on your system. Are you having trouble displaying specific VIs? (Controls/Indicators, Updates on the Front Panel, Etc) Are you seeing generalized glitches only when running LabVIEW? If you can provide further detail on the behavior, it will be very helpful in providing meaningful troubleshooting steps of the system.
Thank You,

I am running 2010. My problems first sarted with a later version of 2009. The problems that I am seeing is in the block diagram. Ex: I move a flat file:It akes up to 15 seconds to perform the task. At times the block window will frozen. By this I mean the block diagram is locked up. I can not perform any changes. I have to sut down Lab abd restart.

Ahh, your post title made it sound like an actual 'video' problem, you're just talking about slow editing performance right?
This has been an issue since LV2009: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/LabVIEW-2009-slow-performance/td-p/975185/page/2 Especially when editing large VIs.
Unfortunately, I didn't see that there was a really solid solution to the issue yet. Your first step should be a mass compile of all your VIs to be sure they are properly updated.
