View errors dialog causes labview to crash

I have a broken vi that causes labview to crash when you click the broken arrow or use the view menu to access the vi errors dialog box.  We are using Labview 8.2 and windows XP  It just started doing this.

MPMTech:

There is no reasons why LabVIEW should crash. Please complete the following steps to generate an error log  file:

1. Go to Tools >> Options in LabVIEW and under the Debugging section, select Prompt to investigate internal errors on startup.
2. The log file created after internal LabVIEW errors is called LabVIEW_version_username_cur.txt and it is stored in your temporary directory. By default, this directory is located at C:\Documents and Settings\(User Name)\Local Settings\Temp (Windows 2000 and XP).

I hope this helps and please let me know what you find. You could also post your VI so that I can try to reproduce this on my end.

Rudi N.

Sorry, I should have gotten back to you.  A support engineer had me copy my diagram to a new vi and then correct the errors in the old vi with out using the find errors dialog box.  this worked.  After all the errors were corrected the vi behaved normally and so did the errors dialog box.
