I have never used that instrument. It sounds like you need to study the manuals and learn how the intrument responds. We cannot help you with that part.
It is probably best to just use a voltage measurement. You can put a label or caption on the indicator to tell the user how to interpret the value shown.
I agree with Dennis that switching to the RS-232 communications makes more sense.

Hi All,
I think I have solved the issue. I adjusted the Center and Scale to get my desired voltage from the instrument. Moreover, I had to self-calibrate the analog outouts of the device. Now, I am getting precision down to two (sometimes three) decimal points!!!!!
