While yo uare waiting for volunteers, why don't you post your VI with details about what you need help with.

We may be able to help or at the very least help advise whoever decides to volunteer.

BTW

If we helped would we get our names on a plaque next to an exhibit?

If you help, you can certain get free tickets, but this isn't for an exhibit, it's for an instrument scheduled to go on the Palomar telescope in the spring.

Careful Ben, I just finished this book. http://www.prestonchild.com/books/bookofthedead/

The New York Museum of Natural History receives their pilfered gem collection back...ground down to dust. Diogenes, the psychotic killer who stole them in Dance of Death, is throwing down the gauntlet to both the city and to his brother, FBI Agent Pendergast, who is currently incarcerated in a maximum security prison.

To quell the PR nightmare of the gem fiasco, the museum decides to reopen the Tomb of Senef. An astounding Egyptian temple, it was a popular museum exhibit until the 1930s, when it was quietly closed. But when the tomb is unsealed in preparation for its gala reopening, the killings--and whispers of an ancient curse--begin again. And the catastrophic opening itself sets the stage for the final battle between the two brothers: an epic clash from which only one will emerge alive.

....and then LV The Magnificient came, solved the criminal sequences, erased the cursed locals, and rescued the poor event structure?

OK, this question is way too basic. Once we answer it, you'll get stuck again another millisecond later. 🙂

You should really do a few turorials first before digging in! 😄

(In this case, you would disconnect the local variable, and wire an empty string to it. Now you need to ensure that this happens before the terminal gets read by the code.)

I appreciate your point of view. You are not here to teach me basics. You're here to help. However, I can't find the answer in my book. I can't find the answer in the context help, or the how to help. And I my version of the tutorial is later than my code. Furthermore, not having found it in the first three places, I looked makes wonder why I would find it in the tutorial.

Your help has given me a clue which I will try and work out.
Thanks

Hi Exo,

Christain answered your first question.

Keep posting and asking we'll do what we can.

Ben

BTW Museums don't scare me. My wife works in the basement of the Carnegie Museum. Her office is next to the "Big Bone Room". The only thing scary there are the roaches. No the museum is not dirty. I think the roaches like to stop by and remind their contemporaries "See, we did out live you!".

Okay, Thanks, So I got this far but I want to run it continously and have the Object string remain in the window until I'm ready to change it.
