WHere are the Labview for Linux Wave Player vi's?

The help file in Labview for Linux refers to several sound vi's. However, on double clicking on them, the message is that the file is not found and that the Examples should be loaded. I've loaded the examples and cannot find any sound files. Do these exist? How do I get the Wave Player.vi???

What version of LV for Linux are you running? On my LV6.0 I have no
examples installed. I can browse the examples and see the descriptions of
the VIs but I can't open them because they don't exist, nor would they run
if they did. At the top of the examples help display it states that the
VIs are for Windows and Macintosh users only. I'm curious, if you are
using
perhaps a later version of LV for Linux (6.1 or 7.0) does it claim
to support sound under Linux? I would be very surprised if it did.

Getting back to your question. Presently, the only way I can think to do
this would be with the 'System Exec.vi'. Try passing the string:

'play

It was my understanding that LabVIEW 7 had a set of native VIs for controling sound. You can try to reinstall to get the VIs.
