WII SERVO CONTROL

I am trying to find information on using the Wii remote and interfacing it with a robotic arm.  I have come across other threads and the VI's necessary for establishing a connection between the Wii remote and labview, however I am having troubles finding information on how to use this information from the Wii remote to control servos and other components.  Could someone please help me with the hardware components necessary for implementing Labview to control servos, and if this application is even possible!

Thank you to everyone who reads this post!

Hi,

Part of the answer to you question depends on the size of the application you are trying to create. If it is small, I would suggest using Pulse Width Modulation servos, and then use an NI counter board to create the appropriate PWM signal to control the servos. If you want somthing larger, you may want to look into motors and servos with their own controller. Then you can use LabVIEW to control these motors via serial connection, or CAN with our CAN hardware, or even I2C. It really depends greatly on your application. Controlling with the wiimote is very easy, once you have your actual motion hardware interfaced to LabVIEW.
