Waveform Chart plots point on left side

Hi all

I've just noticed the following behaviour:

In the waveform-chart, when a plot is displayed with points, you see on the left side of the graph the half of the last point on the right side.

I attached a simple vi, where you can see this.

It's not a problem to me - I've just found it and was wondering if this might be a bug.

I use LV7.0 on WinXP.

Hello becktho,

This behavior have been previously reported to our R&D department.  As such, they are looking into resolving this issue in a future version of LabVIEW.  For now, I would suggest using a smaller point style.

I saw this in a beta version of LV8 as well as previous versions of LV.

At first I thought of it as a bug until I saw how useful it was in watching a signal that slowly drifts.

It highlights how much the signal has changed over the time shown on the plot.

If the gets fixed I will not complain but I amy miss it.
