Hello people!
We are developing a supervisory system for power control of a Hidroeletric Power Plant but i found some problems i couldnt solve. I hope you can help me.
Explanation about the project:
The computer we use have 2 LCD 17" that we use to open the Main VI in the first and the SubVis in the second monitor.
I have the main front panel that is the main project. This front panel calls an subvi for login using sequence.
Each subVi that can be open in has a stop button.
After login i can control the project.
I have many buttons to each machine (turbina, generator), each button open a different subvi in the second monitor.
1- I want to keep controling both VIs, the first where i can see and click other buttons and the second opened subvi at the same time.
2- I want to open a subvi in the main VI and latter open another subVi over the first one. Than i want to reopen the first just clicking in the button i had clicked before to open that.
3- I want to publish it on web and each time i click in a button witch opens a subvi i want to navegate on this like webpage, i dont want to open a pop up with this subvi. When i click stop button i want to get back the last VI navegated.
How did i do it:
Using event case i catch the event button and open the selected subvi.
Problems:
a) Using event case i cant keep working in the main VI while the subvi is opened, and because of it i cant open more than 1 subvi at the same time.
b) I cant open ALL the subvis at the same time because it could make my PC to slow.
c) I dont know how to "bring to front" the subvi under.
d) I MUST stop some of the subVis because they catch the serial port that are shared between the subvis. So i cant keep all opened, just some of them.
e) In web i have problems with the control. If i open a subvi, clicking a button, it pop ups me and then if i ask control in server i cant use it before the web user close that pop up.
I have found a national post about the web server, but it was 6.1 version, they said it didnt work this way (multiple front panel). I would like to know if this BUG has already been solved or if somebody found another way to solve this problem.
