Web server question

I am just starting to play around with the web server stuff (LV 8.0.1) I have my Vi working and I can access it from a remote computer. But my question is can I build this vi into an application and still have web access to it? Meaning with it as an App, does it need to reside and run on my machine with the Dev system? or can I install the RTE and my APP on a separate PC ( LV Dev system will not be installed)  and be able to access it from any PC with RTE installed?

Yes, this works. I recommend to look at the LabVIEW User Manual, "Functionality not supported in viewing and controlling remote fronts panels" before you start designing your application. It is really worth reading and accounts for the constraints of built applications and the Web Server.

Thanks I did read that as well. I really just wanted the info updating on a webpage.  with the version I own of LabVIEW it looks as if i can have 5 users instead of one. I eneded up building a HTML Page for data but I also emailed NI for some info.
