What are Munge files?

When I compile my FPGA labview code, I am asked if I want to save some ni.Munge file.

What is it for?

Thanks

I see more of this with save comments on, but even with it off I am still asked if I want to over write these files.

Hi,

I will talk to R&D to determine exactly what these files are for.

Yes, I was trying to use revision to record a comment about my code.  It requests my comments for my VI's but also asked for comments to several Munge files.

Hi,

How about the files found here:

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\vi.lib\rvi\eio\common
