What do the small arrows on case structure tunnels mean?

I've recently upgraded to LV 2009, and I've been noticing small arrows inside/on some case structure tunnels, but I can't figure out what they mean.  See attachment for examples.

Linked Input tunnels.  New in 8.6.  See here

Search LabVIEW help for "Linked Tunnels".

They show that a left hand and right hand tunnel are linked.  It makes it easier to automatically wire from one tunnel to the other when adding new cases to a case structure.
