What is Error 1 in Application Builder?

I'm trying to set-up my app and encounter the message "Error 1 occurred at C:\setup\xyz\internal.llb\Append Report Text.vi".
Anyone who can explain and tell how to memedy?

Thanks in advance

Klaus,

Which version of LabVIEW are you using? There was a known issue in LabVIEW 6.0 that was corrected by the 6.0.2 patch. If you are currently running LabVIEW 6.0, I would highly recommend downloading the patch from ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/labview/updates/ or upgrading to LabVIEW 6.1. If you use the patch, ensure you download the LabVIEW 6.0.2 Run-Time Engine as well.

Jonathan,

I'm presently using 5.1.1, which I upgraded from 5.1.

Any ideas on this version as well?

Thx and regards

Klaus

Hello Klaus,

Is version 5.1.1 the version of LabVIEW, the Application Builder or both? I would verify the versions are the same for both. Have been able to build applications before? Are you able to build the application if you remove the sub-VI Append Report Text.vi, and were any VIs open in memory when you tried to compile the application.

If the versions are the same and you have been able to build applications before, I would suggest calling NI for technical support. You can obtain a service request # and toll-free number from www.ni.com/ask.
