What is the maximum Sinewave Frequency that can be transmitted across CAN?

Replace the CAN driven DAC with a CAN driven signalgenerator (CAN2SPI&DDS&PGA) 😄

A frequency is a simple scalar, and transmission speed is independent of the value (a picohertz or Terahertz as DBL are both 8 bytes.).

 

It seems you want to transfer the actual wave, not the frequency.

A sine wave is very repetitive and it seems like a complete waste to transmit more than a period. What does the receiver do with it?

Thanks! Just experimenting with CAN. We're actually going to transfer peak g's.
