What is the set period of time for subscriptions to the fieldpoint server?

According to http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3346, “If the network module does not receive an acknowledgement for its transmitted messages after a set period of time, it unsubscribes the FieldPoint Server and goes into watchdog mode..” what is the “set period of time”, can it be adjusted or disabled.

The set period of time refers to the Watchdog timeout value, which after expiring will make the Watchdog configuration settings active.  The following articles explain this concept in more detail:
