What's the name of this graphical phenomenon (only vaguely LabVIEW related)

Using the cw3D Graph I got this first image.  When I zoom in using the mouse wheel I get the second image.  Would this qualify as aliasing, or could it be something else?

If you stare at it whilst trying to focus out with your eyes you can see a dolphin playing with three sealions.
