When tryiong to install LabView 6i, I receive an error message.

I am trying to install LabVIEW 6i onto a Windows 98 laptop. The installer gives an error message reading...
Error 1322. A portion of the folder path '' exceeds the length allowed by the system.
Any ideas on why this error appears and how to fix it?

Ken. I've never seen this behavior before, but I've heard about it. Some users have gotten around the problem by copying the contents of the LabVIEW CD onto their desktop or C: drive.

Please let me know if this works.

I was trying to uninstall 6i so that I could install 6.1 on a Windows 98 machine. I got this error. Any suggestions? LabView 6i has been installed and working on this machine for months. Now I need to upgrade to test some new code and can't get it to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
