When uninstalling Labview I lose control of my network connection

For some strange reason when i uninstall completely labview and reboot my computer and that i want to access my network connection i get a message that and unexpected error occured.

I had the student version installed and for a project at school my teacher lend me is full version of NI motion. Everything was fine till I decided to remove it.

I tried uninstalling a couple of thing, but only labview causes this problem.

Thank You in Advance!

Are you saying that if you reinstall LabVIEW then your connection comes back? What is the exact error message that you get? Do you have proxy servers or firewalls installed? My guess would be an improper proxy server settings.

First off thank you smercurio_fc for you answer,

No if I reinstall labview it does not solve the problem I have to do a system restoration for them to be fixed. The exact message is "une erreure innatendue c'est produite" if I translate it right is "An unsuspected error occured". As for your last question I don't think I have any proxy installed, but i'm not sure and I have the default windows firewall.

secondly do you think there is any hint you could give me to solve this problem?

Help would be greatly appreciated

Thank You

M.

Ah, the default Windows Firewall. That piece of junk. I can't say for sure what might be causing your problem. I did a search on this site but did not turn up anything. One thing that you can try to do is to restore just the Windows Firewall settings. The procedure for doing this can be found here:

I have the same problem.

I uninstall the LabView 8.6 and my network connections does not work any more.

I get the "An unexpected error occurred"

Someone that know any more of this issue?

Yes, this is actually a known bug of Windows and LabVIEW's 8.x French version.

This Microsoft KnowledgeBase explains how to resolve the issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824923/en-us

Hopefully this helps. 🙂
