Where can I find the Labview file OPENCFG1.VI

Does anyone know where I can find the LabVIEW file OPENCFG1.VI?  It would be nice to have a simple text file which list the entire LabVIEW llb directory structure with vi's or a working search function built in.  Maybe I'm not aware of one.  I seen some that browse individual llb's, but not one that does the all llb's.  SS

At least in 7.0, there is Tools>>Find VIs on Disk. It didn't find such a VI on my computer, though. Are you sure it's NI's?

I was also unable to locate this VI in LabVIEW 8.5.  It must have been a VI that you created or edited.  Please let me know if you need anymore help, thanks

I think you are correct it is a custom vi.  I'm requesting it from it's original source from France.  The fact that it was one of three vi's with an english file name made me think it was a Labview original, since the other two vi's with english names were from NI.  I do like the search built into LabVIEW and it works like a charm diggin into llbs.  Thanks for your help.  SS

I found the problem.  When I tried to convert an llb to vi's in a file labview did not allow OPENCFG1.VI to be converted.  I believe this was created in 7.0 which I do not have.  Could I get someone from NI to please convert the VI for me? Regards, SS

Hi ShotSimon,

its not easy to help you, because this vi has no block diagram.

I'm being told by an advanced user of Labview in France that this is a standard vi. from possibly a version prior to LV 7.0.  Does anyone know how to locate such a file and translate to 8.5? SS

I can't even open it in 7.0. It returns a resource not found error and says it could not load the front panel.

There is absolutely no way to convert a VI without a diagram to a different version. When the VI is recompiled to a new version, the source code is required. The diagram is the source code so you're goting to have to recreate it or find the original VI with diagram.  Please let me know if you need anymore questions.
