Hi Mike,
When you say that each program change/iteration takes 30 minutes, do you mean that it takes 30 minutes to transfer the files over FTP to the CVS or 30 minutes to compile an FPGA VI that you've written? The compile process for FPGA VIs takes longer than compiling LabVIEW for Windows code.
As far as deploying your application to the CVS, this also depends on what components you're using. If you are using an FPGA VI and only deploying to the CVS (i.e. not developing the FPGA VI from that computer), then you'll need the NI-RIO driver installed on your PC. Developing the FPGA VI obviously requires the FPGA module. If you're not using an FPGA VI, then all you need is the Real-Time module installed on your host PC. Either way, you'lI need the Real-Time Module. I hope this helps!
