I put what I thought was such a Suggestion on the Idea Exchange. After two years with not enough Kudos, it was "Declined".
I wrote a little utility for myself called "GSW Entries". When it pops up, it gives you a list of the LabVIEW Versions you have on your PC. Once you choose the LabVIEW Version, it shows you the list of Recent New Projects, Recent Projects, and Recent Files, allowing you to choose the ones to Remove from the Getting Started With list of Files and Projects. It does what you'd expect -- parses the appropriate .INI file and makes the changes you specify.
