Sal, are you using a networked computer by any chance?

I have to wonder, because I am as well. We are having the same problem. I
have seen someone (in a user's group) successfully use the comon dialogue
control (ver 6) on their computer using LabVIEW version 6.02. They were not
on a network.

I am told this OUGHT to make no difference, but I do not see any other
common link.

How about the rest of you that have no trouble with it. Are you NOT on a
network computer?

Hi,

Perhaps it has something to do with virus protection on networks. I've had
the same problem using ActiveX treeview container. It worked ok, but when
using it on a network it didn't.

On the network PC's ActiveX was also disabled for Netscape, and it also did
not work in Access forms. We're consulting network administration, but the
problem might be to technical for them....

Regards,

Wiebe.

It is now about a year later.
I am using LabVIEW 6.1 and I get the same exact error. I am on a networked computer but have no virus software.

Has anyone been able to solve this?
There are a few threads where reinstalling LabVIEW is suggested. I would rather not do that. Plus I have tried it on other computers with the same result, so could all of my installations be corrupt?
