I've developed an application a few years ago, it is running on several pcs, now.
This application reads from RS232, through a 232/485 converter, from a network of sensors, then writes all the data on disk.
The pcs run Windows XP Pro.
The app was running fine when we were using Windows 98 (Labvew 6.0). Now with XP (Labview 7.1) it does an error after about 24/48 hours. It opens a dialog with the message "error 6 on file open". It didn't happen in Win 98.
When I select "ok" on the dialog another dialog opens and so on. The application doesn't work no more and stops storing data. It seems like the pc resources being "saturated".
I cannot get more information from "error 6" or any system tool.
Any idea about possible checks???
