Why do I keep getting error 201435 when I try to run DAQ assistant VI?

Solved!

Hello,

I am new to Labview and I need some help. I keep getting an error code 201435 whenever I try to run a simple generate signal VI (see attached). I haven't had much luck finding a solution online and I was wondering if anyone has had this problem with the myDAQ and knows a fix?

Thank you

You need to provide some signal to the input called Data.

Hello

For some reason that doesn't really make sense to me. I had configured the myDAQ task so that out of analog output port 0 there should be a sinusoid with a maxumum amplutude of 1, and I also set it to run contuniously, generated 10k samples at a rate of 100k. Shouldn't the task be able to generate this signal based on the parameters I gave it?

Oh I think I get it. Is it not possible to use the DAQ assistant as a stand alone function generator? I don't really understand how that VI works. So if I wanted to generate a sine wave output I would need to hook a sine wave into the DAQ assistant and then it would generate that signal at the respective port. I guess that makes sense. Thank you!
