Why do VIs within an llb remain in a project's dependencies folder after the llb has been added (as a file) to the project?

In order for all the VIs within an llb to be considered by LabVIEW to be part of the project, is it necessary to add each of those VIs to the project, or does simply adding the llb (as an llb file, not as a folder of VIs) suffice?

Wait.  You can add an LLB to the project without it going into folder mode?  ***Playing with LabVIEW for a minute***  Yep.  Well, that is just weird.

The LLB should be added as a folder.  Just drag the LLB from Windows Explorer into the project.

One more try, can you convert the folder where your lvlib resides as an Auto-populating folder and see what happens?

I removed the llb file from the project and then dragged it in from Windows Explorer to create a folder as you said -- that got rid of the dependency problem.  Thanks!

The llb imported into snapshot/virtual folder.  I would prefer it to be auto-populating.  According to the LabVIEW 2013 help files (search "Adding LLBs to a Project"), "Right-click a target or a folder under the target and select Add >> Folder (Auto-populating) from the shortcut menu to add an LLB to the project as an auto-populating folder."  However, when I try that, I get an error message saying "You cannot choose this folder name; an LLB of that name already exists."  The same message appears if I try to convert the virtual folder into an autopopulating one.

I think you are going to have to select the folder the llb is located in for the Autopopulating.
