Why does my diagram look so cluttered?

Ah, thank you. As far as the white space goes, I have clicked the automatic cleanup tool and it seems like it makes the diagram bigger, if anything.

You could enable Fit Object to Pane on the tab control, then disable the users ability to resize the window under VI Properties

I would make it so that your controls and indicators do not show up as Icons. This is easily done by right cliciking and unchecking the view as icon switch. Then you nedd to listen to what everyone else has said. Move things closer together. I find this helps me orginize things better when I move things closer together. I see lines that over lap, things that go together and other things that can be moved.

Right click on your big yellow subVI's and make them "View as Icon".
