Why does vi.lib update everytime I save?

Every time I save a VI in my program vi.lib updates, taking a few minutes with over 400 files being saved.  Any ideas why?

some:

1) you've edited a low level vi in VI.lib without saving it to a new location with a new name.  FIX by reinstalling LabVIEW and inspecting your app.

2) You upgraded LabVIEW but did not "mass compile" a reuse library dependant on a member of vi.lib.  FIX by reinstalling the latest LabVIEW version.

3) a SCC program is "getting" an old version of vi.lib.  FIX by correcting the SCC settings to exclude vi.lib
