Why don't my front panel indicators scale correctly from monitor to monitor (no matter what options I choose under VI Setup in LV5.1)?

I've tried the 'scale all objects on panel' and 'maintain proportions with monitor resolution' but it just doesn't help. The front panel indicators are string indicators and the label text does not align like it does on my development machine. I have an application that will be distributed to potentially several different PCs, all of which could have different sized montitors. It'll kill me if I have to have different sets of displays for each of the target machines. Ugh.

I can understand the problem. I have not seen where Labview has options to "auto-fit" for monitor size, however, as a work-around, could you set each PC's "Desktop Area" pixel sizes to accomadate [i.e. Properties > Settings...]? One way or another, it sounds like the viewing area, or items in it, will have to shrink. Good luck.
