However, in my opinion this is not something that should be an addon. It should be part of the native language support. Yes, NI cannot provide libraries for everything under the sun. However, to me SSL is basic network communications at this point in time and should be supported in the native language without requiring additional third party libraries. You simply cannot deploy a broad system these days on that will be connected to the Internet without using secure connections.
Along the same lines is support for IPv6. Yes, the adoption has been slow but if you really want to play in the IoT market with sensors deployed all over the place, you really need to be thinking about IPv6. Still nothing from NI to include any support for it.
I will take a look at your library since I anticipate needing SSL on some upcoming projects.
