I took a look at your thread and found no references to the sampling rate used and the frequency of the signal you are acquiring. Since the Gibbs phenomenon is related with the # of harmonics available to reconstruct the signal, maybe setting a higher sampling rate could help to reduce that effect.
Have you considered doing that?
