Why my DAQ devices found in Traditional NI-DAQ in MAX

Hello,

I have a PXI 1033 with PXI 6602 in it, MAX found the device in Traditional NI-DAQ group, but I want to use the DAQ-MX API's for programming. When I use the device with DAQ mx API the program works for some time  but later it gives random data, when I go back to MAX and perform self test - Test fails.

When I do Reset device- The fucnctionality does not work and some time system restarts on its own, can anyone throw light on this please?

Attaching the MAX screen shots, pls see the slots where PXI 6602 is found, Traditional DAQ says slot 0 where as the PXI 6602 is in slot 2.

Any suggestions or is this normal?
