Windows error caused by lvalarms.dll

Encountered a Windows error (see attachment). This would close the LabVIEW application. The error report mentioned lvalarms.dll. The error would occur sporadically about once a week or once a month.

The code contained a reference timed loop running at 250 ms, and various timed loops at an offset of 100 ms from the reference timed loop.

I wonder if the error obtained was caused by the timed loops getting out of sequence in the Windows environment.

Am also attaching the technical info on the error report.

Thanks for any info on this subject.

Hello Carlos,

Thank you for providing the screenshot and the error log file. Could you please give us more information on the problem: which OS (service packs), which type of processor (hyperthreaded, dual processor) are you using, are you interfacing with any hardware in your application, etc? It looks like you are using LabVIEW 8.0, but if you have access to LabVIEW 8.20 can you try it there as well? Also, if your program is not large or if you can reduce it as much as possible to illustrate the problem, could you please attach it here or send it to us via email (by going to www.ni.com/ask and choosing E-mail NI option)?

Thank you and best regards,
