Wire label bug?

Working in LV2011 right now, so it might have been fixed, but here goes:

A wire gets information from the control or outgoing indicator of a sub-vi it's connected to. Looking at the wire, the Help windows shows this information e.g. "DataValues". When activating Label on the wire, shouldn't it have this info as default?

Wires should have the Data type of wire as default label.

Is this a bug?

Hello Yamaeda,

In LabVIEW, there's three way to document wire. See the below link.

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/D410C0E5A4763B5886256D49005454F2

The three ways are independents. I think your wire have description or tips filled. When you select visible label on wire, the default value is "empty string.

So your behavior seams normal.
