Writing to Channel 0 A and Channel 0 B - NI 9482

I am making a program that requires me to be able to open and close Channel 0 A and B separately on module NI 9482.

When trying to do this in LabVIEW, I can only write to individual channels, but not the A and B counterparts.

So I was wondering if opening and closing Channel 0 A and Channel 0 B separately is even possible. In my specification sheet, it shows that CH0a (5165) and CH0b (5166) both have their own switches, but I have also found information saying that you can only turn on and off port 0 by connecting CH0a and CH0b.

These lead me to believe CH0a and CH0b can be opened and closed separately.

Although this connection diagram seems to say otherwise.

Thank you for the help.

NI 9482 is 4 relays (or switches, whichever term is easier for you

CH0
CH1
CH2
CH3

The A & B denote the terminals.

You have the ability to open or close the switch on Channels 0,1,2,3

What are you trying to achieve that means to would need to open/close at each terminal, rather than the connection in the middle?

https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/ni-9482-specs/resource/373948b.pdf

Please check this pdf, there's no mention of separate switches for the terminals

I don't know what "specification sheet" you're using.

A document called NI 9482 User Manual and Specifications is on the web site and shows no such connection.  In fact, there are sections in it that I think you should look at:

and

My question to you then is what do you hope to accomplish with control over these "a" and "b" channels?  You can only connect 4 circuits as shown in the "figure 3" above.  What do you believe you can accomplish electronically?

"When trying to do this in LabVIEW, I can only write to individual channels, but not the A and B counterparts."

It's not possible to write A and B Separately. With NI 9482 it's like a switch to connect A to B.
