XSENS MTi30 com port issue

Solved!
Go to solution

Good Morning All,

We are using the XSENS MTi30 "Motion Tracker Module" here, on a lot of other users' laptops, but I am having no success on mine. When plugged in the USB - serial cable is working, the XSENS supplied programs are seeing the device, it shows up in Device Manager as COM5, BUT ... it doesn't show up in MAX or a VISA control in LabVIEW. I have just had one of the IT folks try to figure it out, went as far as deleting the driver and reinstalling, rebooting, then deleting that and downloading and installing the latest from XSEN site and rebooting, to no avail. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks, in advance.

In the immortal words of Homer Simpson "DOH!"   I am working on a supplied laptop, where all software/driver/etc., installations are done by folks from the IT group. After much head scratching, installing and deinstalling and reinstalling the Xsens drivers and software and not seeing it in MAX  I finally looked into the MAX "Software" and what did I NOT see? VISA. Argh!    It has been a very long time since I worked on a machine that I didn't set up, didn't even think of that (obviously!)  I say again "Doh!"
