I have a strange problem with an xcontrol. We have an application we have been compiling and running for 6 months without issue. In the latest release, the exe give an error message "SGControl.xctl is not a valid file type" when the exe is statred. When you bring up the front panel where the xcontrol sits, it is replaced by the grey boxes you see on your front panel when an xcontrol is open for editing. Everything works fine in the LV environment.
The exe is running from a directory where it was installed by the installer. When I move the application to another directory on the computer, it runs fine. When I run it off the network, it runs fine. The problem only occurs when the exe is run from the directory where it was installed!?
I've tried:
Several rebuilds and reinstalls. No help
Run on different machines. No help
Replaced SGControl.xctl and other files with olderversions from the archive. No help
Deleted and recreated the build specs. No help
Created a different exe using the xcontrol. Works fine
What next?
Thanks,
