access date to a date in labview

I am trying to read in a date field from an access database into my labview program i want to be able to display the exact date from my access database onto my front panel but every time i try and do this it doesnt give me what i am expecting for example access database reads : 7/8/2008 labview reads : 1/12/1901

It looks like LabVIEW is showing the default date for an indicator that is not getting a value.  Can you post your code so we can see what you are doing?
