activeX component with TRIO PC MOTION 206X

Hi all,

I am working on moving a motor along 3 axes using TRIO MOTION MC 206X. My programme is written with LabVIEW 2009 SP 1.

After installing a software that has LabVIEW components in it, my programme's ActiveX connection stopped working. Before the installation, the connection could open and on the front panel, the connection would turn from red to green; but after that, the indicator isn't even red and it just says 'the connection can't be found'.

I followed the instructions provided by TRIOMOTION support and installed the latest TRIO ActiveX component available on their website. However, when I tried to add the ActiveX Controls to Palette by following Tools->Import Menu on, LabVIEW,  and then selecting TRIOPC Control, I was unable to save the library as all I got was an empty file.

As I once successfully managed to add the ActiveX Control when I was working with LabVIEW 8.5, I tried to replace the TRIO MOTION component of my programme with this older ActiveX Control  from the library, upon which LabVIEW would crash.

I disinstalled the software but the damage seems irreversible. How should I go about remedying this?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Regards,

Jevon
