add text labels to meter?

instead of numeric values in a meter on the front page, i want to display letters (this is for wind direction in my application) any hints?

Right-Click in the Meter select 'Text labels'.  When the text display pops-up right-click and select 'Edit Items'

that works ok, but can i give the text values a range. for example North might be 2.54-3.33?

Are you looking for a compass type effect (continuous values) or do you want the needle to snap to one of the directions depending on the value?

THE compass effect, i figured it out though, just had to do a little math on the block diagram, thank you
