adding Y_Unit_Label to an lvm file

For the life of me, I cannot seem to figure out how to turn on the Y_Unit_Label Row in the ""Write to Measurement File" Express VI and assign units to each column of data.  Any quick fix I'm missing?

Hi mpb2000,

Unfortunately, the Write to Measurement File ExpressVI does enable you to write units on the Y axis label. The label on the Y coIumn is determined by the name of the signals coming into the VI. I suggest you use lower level File I/O VI's which give you more control over the formatting of the output file. If you search for "Spreadsheet File" in the LabVIEW Example Finder (Help » Find Examples...) you can find a few examples that can point you in the right direction.

I  am not 100% sure this is what you were asking so please let me know if this answered you question.

For anyone else who might want to know, you can actually write units on the Y axis label with the "Write to Measurement" Express VI.  If you convert your signal to a waveform with the "Build Waveform" block, you can then use the "Set Waveform Attribute" block to name your signals and set the units.  Just enter "NI_ChannelName" in the "name" input of the block and then run your signal name to the "value" input.  You can do the same thing for units by entering "NI_UnitDescription" in the "name" input of another "Set Waveform Attribute" block and then run your units to the "value" input.
