Two quick questions:
Do you have to be an administrator to install a LabVIEW built executable?
Do you have to be an administrator to run a LabVIEW built executable?

I am assuming the answer to the first is yes.

Hi rohrdt

To answer the second question first - no

For the first question, you need to be an administrator to load the LV run time engine. Once this is on the computer then you only need to copy over the executable program you have built with application builder.

Greetings,

Do you have to be an administrator to install a LabVIEW built executable?
To clarify the first question, it depends on the LV version and what you selected to include in your built application.

The new features in the LV 8.0 application builder requires you to be administrator, regardless of what products you choose to include in the build.  The app builder in pre-8.0 versions might need admin, depending on what other NI components were included (LV RTE, DataSockets, etc)
