analog waveform

Hi,

i have data aquisition card (Pico DrDAQ) and i use the internal micro-sensor to catch the sound waveforms(for example: hand clap). The problems i'm facing now is how to get(cut) the fix waveforms and to compare the time-domain (real time) sound waveforms?

Example:
                   the real-time sound waveforms compare to the fix sound waveforms. When the real-time sound waveform running continuously,if a similar fix sound waveforms appear.  Then, both waveform is compared and to produce an output (to control the light on and off).

Hi sounds like an interesting problem - can I ask a few questions

it sounds like you are trying to create some kind of sound recognition system - how accurate does this need to be is it telling the difference between 2 sounds or just registering that a sound has happened.

Also which program are you using to code this, LabVIEW? which version? can you dislay your sound waveform already, what kind of amplitude sensitivity can you measure.
