analogous vi for Acquire N Scans ExtScanClk D-Trig.vi.

Hey gurus of labview,

has anyone found any code examples for NI DAQmx for Acquire N Scans
ExtScanClk
D-Trig.vi. in labview 7. I have been pulling my hair trying to get an
external clck with trigger (optical encoder wheel with one trigger per
rotation and second scan clock per degree turn to obtain data) to work
with M-series PCI 6221 board and frankly have very little hair left at
the moment. Any help and pointers will be sincerely appreciated.

Yes...The Scan Clock is now the Sample Clock. You need an example which uses an external Sample Clock. There are serveral of these that ship with DAQmx. For instance look at...\program files\NI\LabVIEW\Examples\DAQmx\Analog Input\Measure voltage\Cont acq&Graph Voltage-Ext Clk-dig Start. This is a continuous example but it is pretty straight forward to change it to a finite acquisition. Or...you can use the example Acq&Graph voltage-Ext clk-Analog Reference which is a finite example and then just change the trigger type.

If you haven't used it before the NI Example Finder is a great place to search for such examples.
