[announce]Iowa LabVIEW User Group meeting

Join DISTek Integration, Kirkwood Community College and National Instruments on Tuesday, 11 Jan. 2005 for Iowas first organized user group meeting. This meeting will be held at Kirkwood Community College in Jones Hall room 142.

The agenda for the first meeting will be to setup the groups organization and charter, with a short technical presentation. Future meetings will focus more on technical presentations.

This first meeting will be hosted by DISTek Integration, Inc. DISTek Integration is one of only two National Instruments Alliance members in Iowa. DISTek Integration presently has 2 Certified LabVIEW Developers on staff. They also have Iowa's only NI Certified Professional Instructor who teaches classes through Kirkwood Community College. The co-host for the evening will be National Instruments' Andy Marshall. Andy was with Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids as part of 'LabVIEW Central' for many years until he was lured away by National Instruments. It is also co-hosted by Daryl McCall of Kirkwood Community College. Daryl is an Assistant Professor, Electronics Engineering, with a B.S. and M.S. from Ohio University. Daryl started teaching in the EET program at Kirkwood Fall, 2000. Prior to coming to Kirkwood Daryl was the GPS Technical Director at Rockwell Collins. Daryl has been co-author of several publications and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). He is also a driving force in getting LabVIEW taught at Kirkwood.
