Finally got this working! Another review of the help files, plus all the input from you guys, and I finally managed to stumble into my answers.
The problem was where I was storing the source files for the information I was looking for. Which then related to my file structure in the original vi. Once I got them matched up so my VI could find the files in the build and in the actual VI I was golden.
