application of piano keyboard

i am thinking to make an application of piano keyboard... like using the system's keyboard keys to produce piano sounds... so how to produce sounds of given frequencies... are there any functions or api s for generating sounds of given frequencies...?

If you have LV full or pro, you have the sound VIs, which allow sending a waveform to the speakers, and LV also has VIs for generating waveforms.
