archiving a shared variable in citadel5 and destroying data in old DB

IN citadel 5, I'm trying to archive a shared variable and enable the "destroying data @ source DB trace" option, but I don't succeed. The data is saved in the new DB but its not erased...Can anyone know a reason why? I'm working on a local PC, and with LabView 8.2.1

If memory serves me, I had to stop the logging before I could delete and compress.

Hi.

So I don't understand the option "Destroy data after archiving from source DB"...

Hi Ben and everyone else....

I have checked with NI Office here in Israel, and the process of archiving and destoying while logging - is possible using the 2012 Developer Suite 1.

That means that the purpose of archiving and destoying while logging is not working properly in 8.2.1....

am I not right with my conclusion ?

Do you know of any workaround?

I have to continuously keep the logging forever, thus, I cannot stop the logging to archive, and I would like to maintain a healthy Database (Disk size lower than 5-10GB)
