at start up nimxs closes down stating memory location not readable

I have just upgraded my system with labview 8 from labview 7.1.1, Labview and the driver diskes loaded on with out a fault, but as soon has my system was restarted I got a message box saying (nimxs.exeinstruction at 0x7c910370 reference memory 0x0000000 could not be read click ok to close nimxs.
 
Windows then starts and i am unable to find any hardware using MAX4.0 and it eventually hangs and crashes, I can run labview 8 but I can not access any hardware with it
my operating system is windows XP Professional

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, how are you getting on with this? Are you still seeing this problem? It sounds like something has become corrupted with the install of LabVIEW and the driver disks, have you tried to uninstall any of the software yet?
 
Can you let me know what the current status is, and I'll take a look into this problem for you

Hi Hannah,

 

I have uninstalled all previous versons of Labview on my system and had to also delete all regisary settings for labview also, reinstalled labview 8 and it works without any problems now.
