authenticate user.vi

I don't anderstand why the Vi authenticateuser.vi is in Examples in Labview. Indeed, If this VI is locked it is not useful to put it inside exmaples? We can't edit it to create users and login.
Is there a possibiliy to save users and logins to use this VI ? thank you

Where is this VI?
I couldn't find as an example.
Is it inside one of the examples?
If so, then the example is about how to use it and not about how it works.
VIs are usually locked when they contain LV features which NI does not want the general public to access.

Excuse me.. it's in dialog examples.
I agree you that some VI could be locked but if this VI is in examples it should be useable?
this VI has 2 inputs: login and password, output are: verified and canceled. But I did not succeeded in changing login (when you save, default login and password appear again when you open another time)

If the example at http://forums.ni.com/attachments/ni/170/83882/1/Login.llb is the one you are refering to what part is password protected? I downloaded it and it opens (all three vi's) just fine. If it is another example, please excuse me

I did a search for login from the examples screen and found the login vi. The authenticate user.vi is a subvi in login. It is not password protected and I was able to change the first entry in the table and save it. After changing the table entries, you must right click on the table and select Data Operations - Make Current Value Default, then save the vi. When you open it again, the changes should be there. Here is the vi:

Could you save it in L7.0 please? I can modify the array contents but I can't make it as default value (No data operation)
