automated power supply test system

hi i am developing an automated power supply test system.for this i am
comparing the equipment approach and card approach.for dso(digital
storage oscilloscope)in card form i searched national instruments
site.there i am getting digitisers,are they equivalent to dso card.give
me information regarding this and also regarding my project.

Each of the product pages such as this one, has a section in the upper right for contacting NI for detailed information. You can also contact your local sales engineer. Since you don't provide any specs on what your instrumentation needs are, it's impossible to make any kind of recomendation but yes, high speed digitizers from NI and other vendors can often be used instead of traditional scopes. They are cheaper because they don't have a display,power supply, case, etc. and have a much high data transfer rate than GPIB, USB, or Ethernet instruments. If you are at all familiar with some of the current scopes from vendors such as Agilent and Tektronix, the ones that run a windows OS are actually pc's with pci slots and high speed digitizers in those slots. Not all that different than buying your own digitizer and putting it in your own pc. p.s.
