backward compatibility Labview 5 --> Labview 4 ?

Hi I've got a problem with Labview and I hope that there already someone had to deal with it and has an easy solution.
I have two computers both running perfectly Labview

+ the first one runs with Labview 4
+ the second one uses Labview 5

I started to developp an application on the machine using Labview 4 and for convenient reasons and because we were several people to use the same machine, I moved at some stage to the machine which has Labview 5 to finish my application. I could load the program without any trouble.

When I finished my application, I had to make it run on the machine where Labview 4 was installed (no other choice), but...arghhh... the file cannot be loaded with Labview 4 anymore.

I presum
e there is one option to have the backward compatibility if one saves a vi with Labview 5, isn't it?
Please, since I do not want to rewrite everything and waste two days of work, could you please tell me wether there is a simple solution?

The oldest version I still have is 5.1 and I don't remember at what point NI added the option to save to a previous version. Under your file menu is Save With Options. After you select this, look to see if there's a Save for LabVIEW 4.0 option. On my 5.1, I can only save to 5.0 so I wouldn't be surprised if you don't have the option. In that case, the only thing you can do is either rewrite everything or upgrade the version 4 machine to 5.

thanks for your answer, but what you propose, I tried before sending my request to this mailing list.
What I learn is that it seems to be that there is no way to load with Labview 4.X a vi developped with Labview 5.0.
Its really a pity that such an option is not available (maybe for version 6.X, there are such options, but I do not know since we do not have this version.).

The conclusion reads: I lost two days and I have to do again what I did.
